Last Wednesday, Zhukov went to the vet's for what turned out to be a large whitish mass, probably earwax, pressing on his eardrum (currently being treated with eardrops, which he hates);
On Saturday and Sunday, Ayesha demonstrated that she *is* indeed hunting, by bringing back the dismembered body parts of at least two starlings to play with indoors (OK, she doesn't think that's a bad thing, but we're less than enthused, particularly as...)
This morning, at six, Ayesha had to be rushed to the emergency vet, running a high fever. She's currently on antibiotics and doing much better, but also under strict observation for the next 24 hours.
We're hoping this is all for the time being.
